A Boone County, Nebraska, farm business has introduced a 24/7 meat vending machine to provide customers with around-the-clock access to locally raised beef products, according to a Norfolk Daily News report.

The machine, operated by 2383 Farms in Albion, represents the latest step in the growth of the family-owned business, which began in 2021 and previously relied on direct orders, local sales and temporary retail locations.

The vending machine stocks a variety of beef products, including hot dogs, beef sticks, beef rods, Polish sausage, summer sausage, burger patties and ground beef. According to owner Amanda Beierman, the self-service format offers a convenient option for customers seeking meal ingredients outside traditional store hours, while making locally sourced beef more readily available to residents of Albion and nearby communities.

Beierman said the vending machine concept had been under consideration for several years as a way to expand the farm's presence in the community without requiring a full-time storefront. The installation follows steady growth for the business, which raises cattle and sells beef products directly to consumers.
