TNS adds smart routing to payment orchestration platform

Transaction Network Services has added smart routing capabilities to its Payment Orchestration platform to help businesses increase payment approvals and manage processing costs, according to a company release. The update targets unattended and high-volume applications, including vending, parking, electric vehicle charging, transportation and retail.

The technology evaluates transactions using operator-defined rules, payment performance data and provider availability before selecting a processing route. TNS said the automated process responds to changing conditions and reduces the need for employees to manage individual routing decisions across payment providers and markets.

Through the TNSPay Merchant Portal, operators can monitor payment activity across providers, channels and locations. The portal offers AI-assisted analysis of approval and decline patterns, customizable dashboards, scheduled reports and natural-language data queries.
