Pepsi MidAmerica has replaced its DOS-based vending management system with Ezo's enterprise asset management software to track more than 6,000 vending machines, over 400 micro markets and other equipment across 11 locations, according to a press release.
The platform provides centralized equipment records and supports field service operations, according to Ezo
The bottler initially adopted the software for its information technology department before expanding its use to customer-facing equipment, parts, supplies and other assets. Integrations with existing systems automate equipment assignments and work orders, while technicians use a mobile application to access service information and checklists.
Ezo said improved location records have helped Pepsi MidAmerica recover equipment previously considered lost and better manage sales-tax compliance, which can vary by machine location. The company plans further automation and an integration with Route4Me routing software.
