Operative IQ, a provider of operational management software for emergency medical services and public safety agencies, has partnered with Signifi Solutions Inc. to integrate automated vending machines and smart lockers with centralized inventory management software, according to a press release. The partnership is designed to give emergency responders secure, on-demand access to medical supplies, medications, equipment and vehicle keys while improving inventory tracking and accountability.
The integration combines Signifi's intelligent vending machines, smart lockers and key lockers with Operative IQ's inventory and asset management platform. Using Signifi's cloud-based SignifiVISION technology, the system supports automated dispensing, equipment returns, replenishment, key management and chain-of-custody tracking. The companies said the technology can help EMS agencies reduce manual inventory processes, monitor resource usage and maintain more accurate records across multiple stations, vehicles and supply locations.
The partnership targets EMS organizations that must maintain equipment availability and inventory accountability across multiple locations and work shifts. By automating access to supplies and connecting transactions to inventory records, the companies aim to reduce administrative workloads and improve operational readiness. Signifi, headquartered in Toronto, manufactures automated vending and secure storage systems, while Operative IQ provides software for inventory management, fleet maintenance, narcotics tracking and other public safety operations.
