Shanghai-based robotics company Agibot is testing six G2 robots in a 24-hour convenience store demonstration, assigning them tasks ranging from stocking shelves to preparing food, according to a Humanoids Daily report. The livestreamed event began Nov. 2 and is scheduled to end Nov. 3, China time.

The robots' assignments include greeting customers, making coffee, serving hot food, organizing merchandise and collecting trash. The challenge covers lunch and evening rushes, overnight operations and breakfast preparation, testing how the machines handle different demands throughout a store's operating day.

The demonstration offers an extended view of robots working around customers, merchandise and service counters. However, the livestream does not establish that each robot can operate independently without interruption or human assistance, the report noted.
