Vadzo Imaging has introduced the Falcon-521CRS, a 5-megapixel USB 3.0 camera module designed specifically for interactive kiosks, digital signage and other self-service systems that rely on touchless user interaction, according to a press release. The company said the camera's USB Video Class (UVC) compliance enables plug-and-play operation on Windows, Linux and Android without requiring custom drivers, simplifying deployment across large kiosk fleets.

The camera is optimized for touchless kiosk applications that use gesture recognition, hand tracking and audience analytics. The 5MP sensor is designed to deliver reliable image quality in environments with varying ambient light, helping AI-based vision systems detect hand movements and reduce false detections while maintaining fast response times.

Beyond self-service kiosks, the Falcon-521CRS targets interactive digital signage, retail analytics and smart vending applications that combine customer engagement with computer vision. Vadzo said the camera supports simultaneous gesture recognition, face detection and demographic analytics from a single video stream, enabling operators to create more interactive experiences while gathering customer insights.
