A 15-story automated car showroom in Singapore is attracting renewed attention for its unusual approach to selling luxury vehicles, including a recent display featuring a Formula 1 car, according to a SupercarBlondie report.

Operated by Autobahn Motors, the glass-fronted structure houses high-end vehicles from manufacturers including Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley and Mercedes-Benz. Customers can select a vehicle through a touchscreen interface, after which an automated retrieval system delivers it to ground level in approximately two minutes.

The facility, located at Autobahn Motors' headquarters in the ABM Building, was inspired by a display of miniature Matchbox cars at a Toys "R" Us store. General Manager Gary Hong envisioned a similar arrangement for full-size automobiles, resulting in a vertical showroom that combines vehicle storage with an automated sales experience. The family-owned dealership, established in 1989, uses a specially designed lift system to retrieve vehicles from the building's stacked display compartments.

The showroom recently served as a promotional attraction during the Singapore Grand Prix weekend when Mercedes placed a Formula 1 show car on its sixth level. The vehicle was a 2025 Mercedes W16 show car featuring the team's 2026 colors. Although the race car was not available for purchase, the temporary display generated attention on social media and highlighted the showroom's unconventional design.
