A new type of vending machine is offering Singaporean shoppers a quick way to freshen up, dispensing perfume instead of traditional snacks or drinks, according to a SmartLocal report.

The Scentphony machine delivers two sprays of fragrance for $1, providing a convenient option for consumers looking for a fast, low-cost refresh while on the go.

Each unit features a rotating selection of five scents from luxury brands, including options from Jo Malone, Dior and Maison Margiela. Users select a fragrance via a touchscreen, complete payment — including mobile options such as Apple Pay and Google Pay — and receive two sprays from a nozzle positioned above the selection button.

Scentphony machines are currently installed in several Singapore shopping centers, including Marina Square, Downtown East and Bukit Panjang Plaza. The concept highlights the continued expansion of vending into nontraditional categories, offering a quick, experiential service designed to meet immediate consumer needs in high-traffic retail environments.
