The National Automatic Merchandising Association has named Michael Schwartz chair of its board of directors for the 2026-27 term, according to a press release.
Schwartz, vice president of field and account sales for the U.S. and equipment for the U.S. and Canada at Nestlé Professional Solutions, assumed the role July 1. He succeeds Patrick Moran and will lead the association's board as it continues representing the convenience services industry.
Schwartz brings more than two decades of leadership experience in foodservice, workplace and hospitality, including previous roles with The Coca-Cola Company and Starbucks. NAMA said his experience in sales leadership and industry partnerships positions him to help guide the organization as operators respond to changing consumer expectations and an evolving regulatory environment.
NAMA also announced its 2026-27 board officers: Scott Halloran as chair-elect, Matt Hubbard as vice chair, April Cathcart as secretary-treasurer and Moran as past chair. Newly elected directors include Mike Gilroy, Jamie Guadagnino and Porter Hinton.
The association also named new trustees for the NAMA Foundation, including Halloran as secretary-treasurer, Mesh Gelman, Lawrence Binsky and Emma Rys. NAMA represents the U.S. convenience services industry, which it says contributes more than $41 billion annually to the U.S. economy and serves more than 40 million consumers each day through vending, micro markets, office coffee and related services.
