The Pantry at the Bridges has opened at the Bridges at Jodeco shopping center in the Atlanta suburb of Stockbridge, Georgia, becoming Henry County's first autonomous convenience store, according to a CBS News report. The cashierless shop operates around the clock and uses artificial intelligence to let customers enter, select merchandise and leave without visiting a traditional checkout.

Customers tap a payment method to open the entrance gate. Technology inside the store identifies the products they take or return to the shelves, then automatically charges them for the items they carry out. The store offers snacks, beverages, candy, cleaning products, phone chargers and personal care supplies.

Owner Jonathan Fluker said residents, neighboring businesses and retail employees have responded positively since the store opened. He said the Black-owned business is intended to provide convenience while also supporting entrepreneurship, economic growth and greater business representation in Henry County.
