Automated retail is expanding beyond traditional vending, giving brands new ways to reach customers and venues new ways to make use of available space.

Alejandro Rodriguez, founder and CEO of Amerikiosks Corp., will explore those opportunities in a keynote at this year's Automated Retail and Kiosk Innovation Show, taking place Dec. 14-16, 2026, in Miami Beach, Florida.

Rodriguez will present "How Brands and Locations Win with Automated Retail" at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15. The session will examine applications ranging from specialty retail and branded experiences to fresh and hot food, robotics and automated stores.

For brands, the opportunity is to add points of distribution, build awareness and test new markets without opening a traditional store. For airports, hospitals, universities, hotels, stadiums and other locations, automated retail can generate revenue from underused space while giving visitors convenient access to products.

Rodriguez will also address what it takes to launch and sustain a program, including product and location selection, equipment, payments, replenishment, maintenance, operations and customer support. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of where automated retail fits and the decisions that can determine whether an installation succeeds.

The Automated Retail and Kiosk Innovation show brings together operators, brands, technology providers and venue leaders to explore developments in self-service commerce. Keynotes and panels will cover automated foodservice, kiosk technology, payments, customer experience and deployment in airports, hospitals, campuses and other locations.
