Mega City, a new entertainment venue in Slough, England, has opened with more than 150 amusement games and attractions spread across four and a half floors. Developed in collaboration with SEGA Amusements International, the venue also offers bowling, laser tag, karaoke, immersive virtual reality experiences, food and beverages.
The facility features a fully integrated Sacoa Cashless System designed to streamline guest transactions and simplify venue operations, according to a press release. The installation includes 150 Spark RFID readers, six self-service kiosks, two point-of-sale stations and Sacoa's mobile mRedemption solution, allowing guests to purchase and reload credits while giving staff centralized tools to manage promotions and monitor performance.
By replacing cash and tokens with RFID technology, Mega City aims to reduce transaction times and improve the guest experience across its multiple attractions. The cashless platform is intended to keep gameplay moving while providing operators with greater oversight of arcade operations through a single management system.
