Energy supplier Calor has introduced Calor Gas2Go, a solar-powered vending machine system that provides customers with 24/7 access to Calor gas cylinders, according to a press release.
The stand-alone, self-service units are designed for secure cylinder storage and automated dispensing. The first installations are located in Kilcock, County Kildare, and Loughrea, County Galway.
Calor said the Gas2Go system offers a more sustainable alternative to traditional supply models, including the option of a BioLPG renewable gas blend for Patio Gas users.
"Calor is really proud to lead the way in bringing this innovative, customer-focused service to the Irish market," Marc van Huet, the company's chief financial officer, said in the release. "We hope to bring improved convenience and flexibility to our customers."
The company plans to expand the vending program through partnerships with local service stations across Ireland.
