BTC has launched a vending machine selling gold and silver bars and coins at Nile City Towers Mall in Cairo, according to a Daily News Egypt report.

The installation marks the company's formal rollout of automated retail in Egypt, following testing that began in 2025 in Egypt and Gulf markets.

Customers can purchase products using payment cards. The machine offers gold bars weighing 0.25 to 2.5 grams, silver bars weighing 5 to 100 grams, and selected gold and silver coins. The company told the news outlet that the format gives customers another way to purchase precious metals alongside its existing sales channels.

BTC CEO Hassan Nassar said the launch reflects the company's efforts to use technology to make purchases more convenient and expand access to bullion products. BTC is owned by KPM and also operates in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.
