Aspect Bullion & Refinery has expanded its network of precious metals vending machines with two installations in Mumbai, according to a Retail4Growth report, continuing the rollout of what the company says are India's first self-service gold and silver vending machines.

The machines opened at Akina in Worli on June 27 and at Lakeshore Capital Mall in Nalasopara on June 30, increasing the company's presence across Maharashtra.

The vending machines dispense 24-karat, 999-purity gold bars and coins as well as 999-purity silver bars and coins at live market prices. The company said the automated units are designed to provide customers with transparent pricing, certified purity and immediate access to precious metals through a secure, self-service purchasing experience.

Aspect Bullion said the expansion supports its strategy of combining brick-and-mortar retail, vending machines and e-commerce into an omnichannel sales model. In addition to the new Mumbai locations, the company operates vending machines at several shopping malls across the Mumbai metropolitan area, including Ghatkopar, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Vashi and Malad, along with retail stores in Ghatkopar and Borivali.
