Payment technology provider WeVend has introduced a payment and management platform for unattended laundry operations, giving customers several ways to pay for washing and drying cycles, according to a sales presentation. Options include a mobile app, QR code payments, card readers installed on individual machines and centralized kiosks serving multiple machines. Wi-Fi connectivity allows operators to monitor equipment, process payments and manage systems remotely in real time.
The WeCenter dashboard provides operators with information about machine status, revenue, transactions and settlement activity across multiple properties. Additional features include diagnostic reporting, laundry cycle alerts, electronic receipts, immediate refunds, remote machine activation and price changes. Operators can also add sales taxes or other fees and allow customers to activate several machines in one transaction.
WeVend's hardware lineup includes the PayPro single-machine terminal, the PayPro Max multi-machine controller, the PayPro M2d and the PayQR IoT device. The PayQR system lets customers scan a code, select one or more machines and pay through a smartphone without downloading an app. The company says these options can reduce hardware costs, eliminate reliance on proprietary laundry cards and give operators greater control over customer data and funds.
