East Side Cheese & Provisions in Providence, Rhode Island, has become an unexpected destination for art collectors after installing two vending machines dispensing miniature prints by artist Anastasia Inciardi, according to a Providence Journal report.
Inspired by vintage temporary tattoo vending machines, the Mini Print Vending Machines offer affordable, collectible artwork for $1 each. The specialty food shop joined the Inciardi Prints network in May 2025 after a competitive application process and has since attracted collectors from across the Northeast.
The popularity of the vending machines has helped draw visitors who might not otherwise have discovered the business. Collectors travel from across the region to purchase exclusive prints available only at the Providence location, including a Rhode Island red rooster design and a Vespa illustration inspired by Block Island. The shop also acquired a Del's Lemonade print that was previously exclusive to a machine in Newport.
The vending machines have also fostered an active collector community, with enthusiasts trading prints and connecting through online groups spanning multiple states. Store owners Jeff and Angie DiMeo told the news outlet that the machines complement their goal of introducing customers to local products and artists while making original artwork accessible at an affordable price.
