York, Pennsylvania-based PastaNito is expanding its vending business as part of a broader national growth strategy. Its machines serve pasta meals at Lockheed Martin and Hersheypark, with additional placements planned at Blue Origin and Boston Logan International Airport, according to a Central Penn Business Journal report.

The company says its hot vending technology prepares meals in 100 seconds or less, allowing it to serve workplaces and travel destinations where a full restaurant may be impractical. PastaNito is developing the vending network through direct sales and a partnership with foodservice provider Aramark.

PastaNito also is pursuing digital pasta cafes inside select Walmart stores, using digital ordering and smaller spaces to offer customizable meals. The company is seeking community investment to fund that proposed expansion while building its franchise, wholesale and consumer sales businesses, including distribution through Sysco and Ferraro Foods and sales through QVC and TikTok Shop.

Automation is changing how — and where — people shop, eat and access services. The Automated Retail & Kiosk Innovation Show, Dec. 14-16 in Miami Beach, brings together the technologies, ideas and experts shaping the future of self-service and unattended retail.
