Evolvending is partnering with Farmer's Fridge to expand fresh-food offerings at airport locations, according to a LinkedIn post by Evolvending CEO Valentina Ellison, adding salads and healthy snacks alongside Evolvending's automated hot-food concepts. The first locations are launching at Boston Logan International Airport in Terminals A and C ahead of increased summer and FIFA-related travel traffic.
Ellison said in her post that the collaboration is designed to create a more complete dining experience for travelers by combining hot prepared foods with fresh grab-and-go options. The rollout at Boston Logan will mark the first phase of the partnership, with travelers able to access Farmer's Fridge products through Evolvending-operated airport locations.
Evolvending has focused on expanding automated dining and self-service food concepts in airports, where operators face ongoing labor constraints, limited space and growing passenger demand for faster foodservice options. The company has deployed a range of unattended retail technologies and automated foodservice systems designed to provide travelers with around-the-clock access to meals and snacks in high-traffic transportation environments.
Farmer's Fridge is known for its refrigerated vending machines and fresh food offerings, including salads, bowls, sandwiches and snacks prepared with an emphasis on healthier ingredients. The Chicago-based company has expanded its presence in airports, hospitals, office buildings and other high-traffic locations as consumer demand for fresh grab-and-go food continues growing within the unattended retail sector.
