Beauty and wellness brand Diva By Cindy has installed a natural hair care vending machine at George Washington University, according to a BlackNews.com report, marking the first higher-education deployment for the company's automated personal-care retail concept. Founded by Cindy Tawiah, the company launched what it described as the world's first natural hair care vending machine in 2018 at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and is now expanding the concept into college campuses.
The vending machine provides students with around-the-clock access to hair and body care products including shampoos, conditioners, detanglers and lotions. Tawiah said the initiative is designed to support student wellness while addressing the needs of consumers with diverse hair textures and grooming routines, an area she said is often overlooked in traditional vending programs. University officials and the company said the machines help students maintain hygiene and self-care routines while reducing the need for off-campus trips, especially late at night.
The installation also reflects broader growth in automated beauty retail and wellness vending. Diva By Cindy said it is continuing nationwide expansion efforts while offering franchise opportunities for entrepreneurs interested in deploying branded beauty vending machines in locations such as airports, campuses, residential buildings and commercial properties.
