The Caitlin Clark Foundation has installed a book vending machine at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City, according to an Iowa News Now report. The machine will allow pediatric patients to select books during their hospital stays.

The donation is part of the foundation's Turning Pages, Healing Hearts program, which seeks to bring enjoyment to young patients while encouraging connections with siblings, parents and hospital employees. Participating hospitals also receive tokens for the machine, welcome folders and themed arts-and-crafts materials.

The foundation previously introduced the program at a children's hospital in Indianapolis. Another book vending machine is scheduled to begin operating at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines later this month.

The Caitlin Clark Foundation is a nonprofit organization established by WNBA star Caitlin Clark to create opportunities for children through education, nutrition and sports.
