Dryline VMS, a Vending Management Platform With Built-In Cashless Payments

The platform pairs a visual machine front, scan-to-fill planograms, and per-slot inventory with the Rain Pay MDB card reader, so every card vend, DEX meter read, and settlement reconciles automatically and operators know what sold, what is running low, and where the money went.

September 13, 2026

CAVE CREEK, Ariz. (September 12, 2026) Cactus Wash Systems LLC today announced the general availability of Dryline VMS, a cloud-based vending management system for unattended machine operators, together with Rain Pay, a companion cashless reader that connects to existing machines over the MDB protocol. Dryline VMS shows each machine as its real front rather than a spreadsheet, tracks inventory by slot, and reconciles DEX meter data, reader dispense records, and card settlements for every machine and period. The software and reader are available now at www.drylinevms.com.

Dryline VMS is built for the day-to-day work of running a vending route: knowing which selections are empty before a customer finds out, restocking from a scanned planogram instead of a clipboard, and closing the month with card sales, DEX meters, and deposits that already agree. Because the software and the Rain Pay reader come from the same company, every card vend is tied to the product in the slot and every DEX read feeds reconciliation without manual matching. The Dryline VMS operator app is now available in the Apple App Store and Google Play, so drivers can restock, count, plan routes, and reconcile on site, with offline support that syncs when coverage returns.

“Most small and mid-sized operators are still running their fleets from spreadsheets and a card reader portal that does not talk to their inventory,” said Austin Kunz, founder of Cactus Wash Systems. “Dryline VMS was built so an operator can look at a machine on screen, see exactly what is in each slot and what has sold, and trust that the card sales, the DEX meter, and the bank deposit all agree. If they do not, the software tells you where the gap is.”

What Dryline VMS Does

Every Dryline VMS plan includes the following capabilities:

  • Visual machine fronts: each machine is displayed as its actual layout, with product art, price, and stock level in every slot. Low and empty selections are flagged, and any slot can be opened to see its sales, profit, and inventory history.
  • Scan-to-fill planograms: operators build a machine layout by scanning product barcodes with the mobile app or a paired Socket Mobile scanner. Layouts can be saved as templates and reused across machines, and every planogram carries version history with rollback.
  • Per-slot inventory: live on-hand counts and capacity for every selection, with restock and recount workflows in the app and offline support that syncs when coverage returns.
  • Unified product catalog: one catalog with photos, brands, categories, cost, and default pricing, supporting multiple GS1 barcodes per product and tracking where each product is placed across the fleet.
  • Live DEX reconciliation: for every machine and period, the DEX cashless meter, the dispense records from the reader, and the settlement ledger are reconciled against each other. Differences beyond tolerance are flagged for review. Three-way reconciliation is included in the Core plan, not sold as an add-on.
  • Sales reporting and exports: sales, vends, average vend value, and failure rates for today, the last 7 days, or the last 30 days, with every card vend tied to the product in the slot. Reports export to CSV and inventory exports to NAMA VDI 2.0.
  • Daily attention digest: a daily email summarizing what needs attention across the fleet.
  • Socket Mobile integration: Dryline VMS works with Socket Mobile barcode scanners for fast, accurate scanning during planogram setup, restocks, and counts.
  • Operator app on iOS and Android: the Dryline VMS app is now available in the Apple App Store and Google Play. Operators can restock, check every slot, plan routes, and reconcile on site, with offline support that syncs when coverage returns. A full demo is available in the app with no account needed.

The Dryline VMS machine front shows every selection with product art, price, and stock level, and flags low or empty slots.

Dryline VMS Pro

Dryline VMS Pro adds supply-chain automation for operators running multiple routes and a warehouse:

  • Driver routes with ordered stops across venues, available in the mobile app
  • Central warehouse with prekitting and transfers
  • Per-slot forecasting with days-to-sellout
  • Exception workflow for flagged reconciliation items
  • Anomaly and downtime alerts by email
  • Cross-location benchmarking against fleet averages

Core customers can upgrade to Pro inside the app. Upgrades apply organization-wide and are prorated.

Rain Pay Cashless Reader

Rain Pay is a Dejavoo QD3-based reader that adds tap, chip, and swipe card acceptance to MDB-compatible machines without a retrofit. Terminals connect over Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cellular, and cellular connectivity is included in the monthly cost, so operators do not need to arrange a separate data plan for machines without on-site internet. The reader includes competitive processing rates and a Dryline VMS Core subscription. Every card vend lands in Dryline VMS tied to the product in the slot, and DEX reads feed reconciliation automatically.

Availability

Dryline VMS Core and Pro, the Rain Pay reader, and the Dryline VMS operator app for iOS and Android are all available now. Plans are billed month-to-month per active machine with no activation fee and no contract, and competitive processing rates are included with the reader. Current pricing is published at www.drylinevms.com/pricing.

Operators can book a 20-minute demo at www.drylinevms.com/demo or review pricing at www.drylinevms.com/pricing.
