Sacoa equips Playland location in Colombia with payment tech

Playland has opened a new family entertainment center at Centro Comercial Portal del Prado in Barranquilla, Colombia, using cashless technology from Sacoa Cashless System, according to a press release. The venue is equipped with 80 Sacoa Spark RFID readers, five point-of-sale stations and two mRedemption units operating with Sacoa Redemption Software. The system connects different parts of the entertainment center's operations while giving customers a cashless way to access games and attractions and manage redemption activities.

Pedro Navas, manager of Playland Colombia, said the company selected Sacoa after previously using its technology at other Playland locations. He said Sacoa's experience and performance on earlier installations gave Playland confidence to use the company again for its Portal del Prado venue.
