Kentucky county adds 5 Narcan kiosks

Kentucky organization Madison County Harm Reduction has installed five new Narcan kiosks to expand public access to opioid overdose-reversal medication. The kiosks are available at Galaxy Bowling, Ethan Health, Spero Health, G and A Counseling and Botany Bay, according to a Lex 18 report.

Each kiosk dispenses free harm-reduction kits containing a box of Narcan with two doses, a CPR mask, basic life-support and rescue-breathing instructions, and information about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The kits also provide Madison County Harm Reduction's operating hours and direct phone number.

Madison County Harm Reduction said the additional kiosks are intended to make lifesaving resources more readily available and to connect residents with health services and overdose-prevention education.
