An inventor from Lake Stevens, Washington, has developed a concept for a new vending machine designed to provide women with convenient access to feminine hygiene products such as pads, tampons and panty liners, according to a press release.
Called "Amy Jo's Closet," the machine, available for licensing or sale through InventHelp, is intended to replace traditional coin-operated dispensers commonly found in public restrooms by accepting both cash and electronic payments.
The patented design is intended for deployment in a variety of public locations, including airports, hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, parks and public pools. The inventor said the goal is to make feminine hygiene products more readily available whenever needed. The machine is designed to be refillable, suitable for indoor or outdoor use, and could incorporate solar power in outdoor installations.
