The Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County, North Carolina, has installed a vending machine that provides free hygiene products to young people, according to a WLOS News report, helping ensure access to essential personal care items. Located in the club's middle school and teen center, the machine is intended to remove barriers that can affect a child's health, confidence and overall well-being. Club officials said the resource allows youth to discreetly obtain needed items without having to ask for assistance.

The project was made possible through a partnership with Healthy Blue, the Medicaid managed care plan operated by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. According to the organization, the vending machine helps address basic needs while promoting independence and dignity among club members. Leaders said the initiative reflects a broader effort to support the health and success of young people in the Henderson County community.
