Elementary school introduces book vending machine

Community Elementary School in North Attleborough, Massachusetts, has installed an Inchy's Book Vending Machine to encourage students to read and improve access to books. The school unveiled the machine Sept. 10 with help from Clifford the Big Red Dog, Scholastic representative Christina Jette and state Rep. Adam Scanlon. Principal Chuck Commeret said the project supports the school's focus on literacy by making reading more engaging and accessible. The school is accepting book donations, and contributors may place their names or company names inside donated books.
