Kiosk Marketplace is inviting kiosk operators, deployers, suppliers and other industry professionals to participate in the 2026 Kiosk Marketplace Census Survey.

Returning after a three-year hiatus, the census will provide an updated look at the technologies, opportunities and challenges shaping the self-service kiosk industry. The findings will help establish a clearer picture of where the market stands today and where it may be headed next.

The kiosk industry has changed substantially since the previous census. Artificial intelligence has become a larger part of customer service and kiosk management, while accessibility, cybersecurity and data privacy have gained greater attention. Businesses are also navigating rising costs, changing payment preferences, labor pressures and growing expectations for faster, more personalized service.

The 2026 survey is designed to capture how those developments are affecting kiosk deployments and purchasing decisions. It will examine issues such as deployment activity, hardware and software priorities, accessibility, security, artificial intelligence and plans for future investment. The census is unique because it incorporates input from both kiosk suppliers and organizations that deploy and use kiosks, including retailers, government agencies and utilities.

Participation from professionals throughout the kiosk ecosystem is essential. Responses from deployers, manufacturers, software providers, payment companies, integrators, consultants and other stakeholders will help produce a more complete and useful industry report.

The census offers industry professionals an opportunity to share their experiences and identify the trends they believe will have the greatest effect on self-service technology. The resulting report will give readers benchmarks they can use to compare priorities, evaluate emerging technologies and make more informed business decisions.
