Five game manufacturers, Andamiro USA Corp., Smart Industries, Coastal Amusements, Bay Tek Entertainment and Sega Amusements International, have announced changes in operations in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Andamiro USA Corp.

Andamiro USA Corp. has temporarily closed its main office and warehouse in Gardena, California. The decision follows Gov. Gavin Newsom's "stay-at-home" directive to California's 40 million residents issued on March 19. The order applies to all nonessential businesses.

The statewide edict will impact Andamiro's shipping and service capabilities for the immediate future. The accounting and administration departments have already transitioned from the main office to home offices. The parts, service and sales departments will now be available by email and phone.

"We also have some good news," Drew Maniscalco, company president, said in the press release. "In our parent country of South Korea, where the outbreak is under control and diminishing, Andamiro's manufacturing and design divisions are operating at full capacity."

Smart Industries

Smart Industries has announced the company is operating with essential staff internally with others functioning from home, following guidelines recommended by government agencies in response to the coronavirus pandemic. When possible, the company will still respond to customer needs to the best of its ability.

"Currently we are providing support for sales, parts and tech support," the company said in its statement. "We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that may occur surrounding any request we cannot deliver. Our hope is that this event passes quickly and all can re-establish operations as soon as possible."

Coastal Amusements Inc.

Coastal Amusements Inc. announced that it has suspended all business activity beginning at the close of business on March 20 and will reevaluate the situation again during the next two weeks, according to a press release.

"It is our hope that we will be able to resume business activities again on April 6. This, of course, will be totally dependent upon the COVID 19 virus status at that time," the company said in the press release.

Updates will be posted on the website, www.coastalamusements.com.

Bay Tek Entertainment

Bay Tek Entertainment will temporarily close its doors on March 23, 2020 through at least April 20 in order to protect people from the coronavirus pandemic, according to a press release.

The company will have limited capacity to return calls and emails over this time. For urgent matters, send emails to hello@baytekent.com.

Stern Pinball Inc.

Stern Pinball Inc. has suspended parts of its normal operations as a result of Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker's "stay at home" order, according to an email from Gary Stern, president. The Elk Grove Village based company's production and receiving operations have closed until further notice.

Many employees in product development, technical service, accounting and sales and marketing will work from home.

Sega Amusements International

Sega Amusements International announced in an email that it has allowed many of its team to operate away from the main office so that the company can continue to respond to customer needs during the corona pandemic.
