SAN BRUNO, CA -- YouTube Gaming is coming! The Google subsidiary said it will launch the service, which consists of an app and website dedicated to videogame content, this summer. It will include pages for home console and mobile games, as well as coin-op arcade games.
At launch, according to YouTube officials, the site will feature pages for some 25,000 games. At present, both classic and new coin-op games have a significant presence, primarily through video contributions from fans. The new YouTube effort provides an opportunity for coin-op manufacturers and locations to reach a targeted marketplace and community of enthusiasts.
