LAKEWOOD, NJ -- Coastal Amusements Inc. said it recently teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant a request from a boy suffering with a life-threatening medical condition.
The young man's wish, according to Coastal, was to play Subway Surfers and Temple Run 2 in the comfort of his own home. He had no interest in the mobile apps, however, he wanted the full-size coin-op games that are popular in family entertainment centers.
"We were thrilled when asked if we could help," said Coastal cofounder Sal Mirando, "and we immediately agreed to grant his wish. When you are given the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life, you take it. It's that simple."
Elk Grove Village, IL-based American Vending Sales, a distributor of amusement machines, delivered Subway Surfers and Temple Run 2 to the boy's home.
