Worcester, Massachusetts has introduced a solution to a common urban problem: the difficulty in purchasing municipal trash bags. The city has installed a vending machine for city-approved curbside pay-as-you-throw bags, according to a Telegram and Gazette report.

"There's been a lot of conversation about trash bags," City Manager Eric D. Batista told the news outlet. "They're not free, but we provide a more innovative way for people to come in and access trash bags."

Residents can purchase sleeves of yellow trash bags directly from the machine, addressing complaints about limited availability at local retailers. The vending machine is part of the city's ongoing efforts to improve trash collection services and respond to community concerns.
