Wisconsin police department intros Narcan vending machine

Persons suffering from an opioid overdose can access free Narcan from a vending machine inside the Greenfield, Wisconsin police department 24/7, according to a tmj4.com report.

In addition to Narcan, a medication that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose, the machine offers fentanyl test strips and provides information on local resources. QR codes posted on the machine direct individuals to a Narcan training video and other information.

The department purchased the machine through a grant.
