OLYMPIA, WA -- The Washington state Senate has passed a bill to prohibit the sales of marijuana through vending machines and drive-through windows, the Associated Press reported.
The lawmakers voted unanimously to add the limitation to the state's legalized trade in recreational marijuana, which is restricted to sales in state-licensed stores.
Sen. Barbara Bailey (R-Oak Harbor) said the bill would keep marijuana-laced edible products from being sold in parks and at coffee shop drive-through windows, according to AP.
The bill will next move to the state House for consideration.
