Vistar teams with Emerald Brand on sustainable products for colleges

Vistar, a nationwide distributor of vending, micro market and foodservice products, has teamed with Emerald Brand to provide Emerald brand sustainable essentials to colleges and universities nationwide, according to a press release.

With a retail plan-o-gram for the campus micro markets, c-stores, and bookstores, students will be able to buy tree-free and plant-based sustainable disposables and essentials without leaving the campus.

"Health, wellness and traceability have all become main drivers in this industry and are more important than ever," Ralph Bianculli, Sr., CEO at Emerald Brand, said in the release.

"With Emerald we are able to provide sustainable product solutions for our campus customers," said Sherri Hager, vice president sales at Vistar, in the release.
