Viral TikTok propels Irish egg vending machine to US market

A viral TikTok video has sent an innovative egg vending machine from Ireland on a global journey, with its sights now set on the U.S. market, according to an Agriland report.

Paddy Muckian, owner of Eggspress Vending, designed the machine to provide 24/7 access to fresh, local eggs on his poultry farm. The machine's success has grown organically, with Muckian's family now involved in the business. A recent TikTok video showing the machine in action skyrocketed to hundreds of thousands of views, sparking interest from the US.

However, U.S. regulations require eggs to be chilled throughout the sales process. "We're developing a chilled machine to meet the uptake in demands," Muckian told the news outlet, "and we should have one ready in about two months' time."

Muckian attributes the success of the vending machine to its convenience, freshness and affordability. With a US expansion on the horizon, Eggspress Vending looks to bring this viral trend to American consumers.
