NEW YORK CITY -- Vengo Labs said it has partnered with Pivot Media Ventures, which specializes in creating digital and physical brand campaigns, to add greater value to the digital space on its vending machine network.
Vengo's high-tech, compact touchscreen vending machines are now installed in more than 700 locations around the country. Among its operating partners are Canteen and National Entertainment Network. The company reports that it had doubled its network in this year's first quarter and expects to double it again in the second half. Vengo machines provide customers with products they need on the go, and brands and locations leverage Vengo's screens to display relevant content to consumers.
"Vengo's unique design and placement in key highly trafficked locations has opened up access to reach highly sought-after audiences with meaningful content," said PMV partner Jesse Kristal. Kristal founded PVM with Jordan Perlmutter and Brett Weinberg. The three men are out-of-home advertising experts with more than 30 years of combined experience.
Lawrence Rampe, who heads Vengo's brand partnerships, said that Vengo continues to focus on building direct relationships with consumer packaged goods manufacturers, as well as its programmatic media partnerships, including PVM. Programmatic ad buying typically refers to the use of software to purchase digital advertising, as opposed to the traditional human processes. Programmatic media allows brands to leverage Vengo's network to display digital content in real-time through various ad exchanges, Rampe explained.
"Vengo's partnership with Pivot marks a key inflection point," Rampe said. "The Vengo network has reached a significant scale to the point that the media companies that control the large national advertising budgets have taken notice."
