The biggest price increase in food away from home was in vending machines, according to an article by economist Diane Swonk, published in the Grant Thornton library. The article did not say how much vending food or food away from home prices increased.
The Consumer Price Index, which removes food and energy, rose 0.9% in June and 4.5% over the past year, the fastest inflation since November 1991.
The 0.9% increase was the largest one-month gain since 2008.
