Vending machines to offer healthier fare at Brussels transit stations

Commuters in Brussels, Belgium, will be able to purchase nutritious snacks at vending machines under an initiative in response to concerns about processed foods and excess salt and sugar, according to a Belgian news agency report.

The machines will be installed at the Montgomery, Kunst-Wet and Schuman stations.

The machines will be deployed next month at the latest and the initiative will likely extend to other metro stations later this year.
