Vending machines in Taiwan install cell phone screen protectors

Vending machines in Taipei City, Taiwan, install smart phone screen protectors in just 90 seconds, according to a TVBS report. The process is not only faster, but cheaper than seeking out a professional manual installation.

Customers can use the vending machine by first removing their old screen protector, choosing the phone model on the vending machine's touch screen display and making a payment. After payment and cleaning the phone screen with an alcohol wipe, customers can then place their phone into the machine, which will then install the screen protector.

Manual installation is more expensive and can take up to five minutes, according to the news outlet. Still, some screen protector installation professionals are wary of the automated installation's quality.

"We can remind customers about how to use and maintain [the screen protectors], and if we find any stain or bubble, we can take care of it in time," MuGua, a screen protector installation professional, told the news outlet.
