Video footage of the Pepsi concert will be shown during the actual Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 1, putting Rochester in the national spotlight.
As a reward for showcasing their hype, Rochesterians received the ultimate Super Bowl halftime experience with an exclusive concert headlined by hip-hop duo Nico & Vinz on Sunday. Buffalo Bills new head coach, Rex Ryan, and star wide-receiver Sammy Watkins made surprise appearances.
Leading up to the event, Rochester residents had a chance to score specially marked cans of Pepsi from vending machines to win private meet-and-greet sessions with Ryan, Watkins and Nico & Vinz on Sunday.
Nearly 40 Katy Perry fans from Rochester were the lucky winners of tickets to the Pepsi Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show in Arizona featuring the global superstar.
Pepsi first launched its search for the Most-Hyped Hometown in America on Thanksgiving, inviting fans across America to register online by specific location and share how they and their friends get hyped for a chance to win the ultimate halftime experience.
