A vending machine at Woodland Mall is offering a unique way to give back to the community.
The "Light the World" machine allows shoppers to donate to five local non-profits, including the Salvation Army, Family Promise of West Michigan and Habitat for Humanity of Kent County, according to a Fox 17 report.
Donors can choose from a variety of items, such as food, shelter and hygiene products. Prices range from $10 to $190.
"We had seen a 400% increase in demand at our food pantry year over year," Major Tim Meyer, division secretary for the Salvation Army, told the news outlet. "We selected a week of food for a family for $90, for instance."
