PHOENIX -- A tech startup has launched VendHelp, a customer service solution for vending machine patrons that does not require a live phone representative, website or custom app.
Arizona-based Vendrox describes VendHelp as a friendly "chatbot" that provides automated support via texting, email, Whatsapp and Telegram. It is designed to make it easy for customers and vending locations to process refunds, report issues and submit other requests.
Here's how it works: A customer texts a vending machine ID to a support phone number. Software "converses" with the customer like a person would. Customer responses are immediately forwarded to the vending company contact associated with that machine.
The VendHelp solution is completely customizable by the vending company, including the conversation text, user experience and support contact information. Operators can use it to generate additional sales via upselling and providing active versus passive promotions.
Vendrox is a strategic partner of Bitzki, a platform developed to speed and simplify the creation of "conversation bots" that work in a wide range of applications.
