Vendekin Technologies seeks to automate retail globally

Vendekin Technologies, a Pune, India based provider of vending technology launched by entrepreneur Aroon Khatter in 2018, has set its sights on enabling automated retail globally, according to a report in The Hindustan Times.

The company, the name of which combines "vend" in English and "simple" in Sanskrit, has retrofitted nearly 4,000 vending machines in India and also operates in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The company has also partnered with global retail players such as Cantaloupe USA, Sanden Vendo USA/EU, Nestle Europe and Coca Cola Co. to accelerate automated retail.

The company is also working on "reverse vending machines" for recycling products.
