Velocity Esports, an arcade and family entertainment center, opens today at the site of the former GameWorks space at Town Square in Las Vegas, according to a Las Vegas Review-Journal report.
The 36,000-square-foot space includes a 5,000-square-foot e-sports lounge, 40 gaming computers to host e-sports tournaments, console video games, arcade games, a bowling alley and billiards.
Velocity Esports opened its first facility earlier this year in Newport, Kentucky in another former GameWorks space.
Philip Kaplan, formerly chairman and CEO at GameWorks, formed Velocity Esports in November 2021 and serves as executive chairman, along with Leonard Wanger, president and Josh Rosenbaum, chief marketing officer.
