VE Global Solutions Rolls Out SGL Trophy Single-Cup Brewers In US

CLEVELAND -- VE Global Solutions is introducing a line of capsule single-cup coffee brewers to the United States market. The Trophy system is produced by SGL Group of Castelnuovo Calcea, Italy.

Designed primarily to serve workforces of more than 10 people, the brewer accepts RealCup and K-Cup cartridges. It's offered in plumbed-in and pourover styles, the latter with a 3.5-liter (approximately 1 gal.) tank. It is fitted with a programmable 3.5" touchscreen user interface, customizable over a USB connection.

The brewer is sized to fit beneath cabinets with standard 17" clearance above breakroom countertops. Expended capsules are ejected automatically into a waste bin with a 30-capsule capacity.

A larger companion model, the Trophy Plus, is equipped with a soluble-product dispenser that expands the patron's choice of drinks, including flavored coffee and hot chocolate mixes. Today's vast and growing array of specialty beverages in compatible capsules includes not only coffees but also teas and tisane infusions. The Trophy machines also can be used to prepare chilled drinks for serving in a glass with ice.

Incorporating a "thermoblock" heating system, the Trophy brewers can be set to deliver water at different temperatures to produce optimum results with different beverage types, brewing at maximum efficiency. This on-demand heating technology also saves energy.

SGL Group, founded in 1976, is a leader in engineering, production and sale of small espresso coffee machines; portioned coffee technology is its core business. The firm was acquired by N&W Global Vending (Valbrembo, Italy) in 2007.
