RICHMOND, VA -- Registration is now open for the Virginia Automatic Merchandising Association's legislative PAC reception and education conference, taking place Feb. 23 and 24 here at the Hilton Richmond Downtown. The gathering will kick off on Tuesday, Feb. 23, with a VAMA board meeting followed by the PAC reception.

On Wednesday, Feb. 24, lobbyist Jeff Smith will provide a legislative review, followed by a presentation by a yet-to-be-announced Virginia General Assembly speaker. Mike Thompson, president and chief executive for Thomas Jefferson Institute for Public Policy, will discuss state's public policy issues and their impact on the vending industry.

There is no cost to operators to attend the education sessions; suppliers pay $250 per company for up to four participants. Personal and corporate donations will be accepted at the PAC reception (a $25 minimum is suggested).
