CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association has named Ushma Suvarnakar director of meetings and events.

She will lead the strategic development, planning and execution of NAMA events and serve as the staff liaison to its trade show advisory committee. Suvarnakar will be based out of NAMA's Arlington, VA, office and report to the NAMA vice-president of programs and services Lindsey Nelson.

With more than 12 years of meetings and events experience, Suvarnakar most recently served as director of meetings and conferences at the American Anthropological Association, a position she held for four years.
