MALVERN, PA -- As mobile payment options expand, an increasing number of vending operators are choosing to enable all of their machines with cashless acceptance, according to USA Technologies Inc. This trend is driving the bulk of new connections to USAT's network.

Five Star Food Service (Chattanooga, TN), M&M Sales Co. (Lafayette, LA) and Southern Refreshment Services (Tucker, GA) are three of its operator customers that have committed to providing cashless payment as a route-wide option.

"Our growing list of customers know that maintaining an all-cash business leaves them at a disadvantage," said USAT chief executive Stephen P. Herbert. "Their own transaction data proves adding our solution can make a continued positive impact on their business."

USAT said it added 31,000 connections in the fourth quarter, bringing its ePort Connect total to 333,000, an increase of 25% from a year ago.
