MALVERN, PA -- The cashless vending leader said that it now accepts Android Pay, a new mobile payment system for Android phones. USA Technologies Inc., which specializes in wireless payment and M2M/IoT solutions for small-ticket, self-serve retailing, described its Android support as "frictionless."
With approximately 210,000 customer locations, USAT believes it has one of the largest NFC merchant footprints in the United States. The unattended markets that it serves represent the multiple, small-ticket transactions that consumers make every day.
"Making Android Pay available to millions of Android users will present what we believe to be a fundamental shift in convenience and adoption for consumers," said USAT chairman and chief executive Stephen P. Herbert.
USAT began building NFC capabilities into its cashless payment products 10 years ago. Its ePort readers are designed for small-ticket mobile payments.
